Telecommunications Cost Savings Course

Duration: Classroom - 1 Day

Overview

The Telecommunications Cost Savings course will provide you with a whole range of strategies to save up to 50% on your voice communications budget. Although we can't guarantee you will save 50%, we will show you how.

The course considers all aspects of voice communications costs and the options to reduce them.

A considerable part of the course considers benchmarking of costs against current market rates. How much are you currently paying for; telephone calls, mobiles, system maintenance, etc?

Content

In the current economic client, almost all organisations are looking at their telecommunications expenditure and are seeking savings. The cost savings course has two main objectives: i) To allow you to benchmark your costs, ii) To suggest alternative approaches and technologies to allow you to reduce expenditure.

The benchmarking module explains how the different telecoms costs are compiled. For example, we consider how the different BT tariff schemes operate and explain the impact of call cost caps and set-up fees. We then consider the current market rates for the different aspects of the technology (call tariffs, line rentals, maintenance costs etc) and the way different suppliers reduce costs. E.g. should you be paying 1 or 2 pence per minute for a national rate call?

The second aspect of the course is to make lots of cost saving suggestions. This range of ideas will allow you to consider best practice and optimum approaches but also consider some more innovative approaches and newer technologies. E.g. Sip Trunking, mobile cost management etc.
